Logan Canyon Scenic Byway
Third Dam/Spring Hollow, UT
At the entrance to this popular campground is a marshy wetland teeming with cattails, willows and the chattering of birds and insects. This "riparian" zone helps Utah's largely desert environment by filtering sediments from groundwater and storing spring runoff for use later in the year. With easy access and a plentiful supply of fish, Third Dam is a great spot for young and the young-at-heart anglers and fly fisherman. Ducks are often seen swimming and fishing themselves in these tranquil waters.
