The Energy Loop: Huntington/Eccles Canyons Scenic Byway
Manti-La Sal National Forest, UT
Diverse landscapes of red rock, wooded forest, and geologic extremes contrast nicely with each other at the Manti-La Sal National Forest.
Encompassing nearly the entire length of The Energy Loop: Huntington/Eccles Canyons Scenic Byway, the Manti-La Sal National Forest will make you forget the typical idea you may have of Southern Utah geography. Southern Utah's famous red rock and slickrock is only part of the landscape of the state. Much of your drive will consist of varied panoramas of densely wooded forest, snowy mountain peaks, small mountain lakes, rows of stately pines, and step canyons.
As recreational as it is scenic, the forest has a wide range of activities for travelers, such as camping, biking, boating, sight-seeing, fishing, and four-wheeling. Be sure to come prepared for outdoor adventure at the Manti-La Sal National Forest.
