Directions from Pennsylvania Border Heading West:

Ashtabula County Segment

  • From Pennsylvania border, take US Route 20 (E. Main Rd.) 1.87 miles to intersection of Main and Harbor streets. (US Route 20)
  • Follow Harbor Street 81 yards and turn left on State Street. (US Route 20)
  • Take State Street 200 yards to Broad Street (US Route 7) and turn right. (US Route 20, US Route 7)
  • Take Broad Street 1.21 miles to Lake Road (State Route 531). Turn left on Lake Road. (State Route 531)
  • Just east of Ashtabula, Lake Road (State Route 531) becomes Harmon Road and E. Sixth Street near the intersection with State Route 11 (approximately 12.5 miles). (State Route 531)
  • Follow E. Sixth Street (State Route 531) .93 miles from the intersection with Route 11. (State Route 531) Turn right on Hulbert Avenue. (City of Conneaut Street)
  • Hulbert deadends at Walnut Boulevard in approximately 189 yards. Turn left on Walnut Boulevard and follow 1.3 miles to W. Ninth Street (State Route 531). (City of Conneaut Street)
  • Turn right on W. Ninth Street (State Route 531) this becomes Lake Road. (State Route 531)
  • Follow Lake Road 7.94 miles. At intersection with North Broadway (State Route 534) turn left. (State Routes 531 and 534)
  • Follow North Broadway (State Route 534) approximately four miles to W. Main Street. (State Route 534) Turn right. Turns into North Ridge Road. (US Route 20) Follow three miles to Dock Road and turn right. (County Road 1)

Lake County Segment

  • Follow Dock Road approximately three miles to Lake Road and turn left on Lake Road E. (County Road 1)
  • Take Lake Road E 1.21 miles and turn left on Bennett Road. (County Road 32)
  • Follow Bennett Road 349 yards and turn right on Lake Road E. (County Road 32)
  • Continue on Lake Road E. for 1.7 miles and turn left on Red Bird Road. (Madison Township Road)
  • Follow Red Bird Road .791 miles to Chapel Road and turn right. (Madison Township Road)
  • Follow Chapel Road 1.73 miles to McMackin Road and turn left. (County Road 26)
  • Continue on McMackin Road for .611 miles to Lockwood Road and turn right on Lockwood Road. (County Road 26)
  • Follow Lockwood Road 1.37 miles to Antioch Road and turn left. (County Road 24, N. Perry Village Road)
  • Continue on Antioch Road 1.58 miles to North Ridge Road (Route 20) and turn right. (N. Perry Village Road)
  • Take North Ridge Road (US Route 20) .882 miles to Parmly Road and turn right. (US Route 20)
  • Take Parmly Road 1.75 miles and turn left on Perry Park Road near the Perry Township Park. (N. Perry Village Road, County Road 117)
  • Head south on Perry Park Road 1.32 miles till intersection with North Ridge Road (US Route 20) and turn right. (County Road 117, US Route 20)
  • Take North Ridge Road (US Route 20) 3.24 miles to Fairport Nursery Road (US Route 535) and turn right. (US Route 20, State Route 535)
  • Follow Fairport Nursery Road (US Route 535) 3.3 miles and turn left on East Street. (State Route 535)
  • East Street becomes Richmond Street after .9 miles. Continue on Richmond Street another .6 miles and turn right on River Street. (State Route 535, State Route 283)
  • Follow River Street 1.37 miles to Olive Street and turn left. Follow Olive Street .29 miles to Heisley Road (Route 44) and turn right. (State Route 283, Grand River Village Street)
  • Continue on Heisley Road (Route 44) for .8 miles to Headlands Road and turn left. (State Route 44, Mentor City Street)
  • Take Headlands Road .46 miles and turn left on Jordan Drive. (City of Mentor Street)
  • Follow Jordan Drive one mile and turn left on Corduroy Road. (City of Mentor Street)
  • Continue on Corduroy Road 1.35 miles and turn right on Lake Shore Blvd. (State Route 283)
  • After following Lake Shore Blvd. for 3.16 miles, turn left on Andrews Road (State Route 283) and follow for one mile till you reach Lake Shore Blvd. again and turn right. (State Route 283)
  • Follow Lake Shore Blvd. 20 miles to Martin Luther King Parkway. (State Route 283)

Cuyahoga County/Cleveland Segment

  • At Martin Luther King Parkway, (City of Cleveland Street) follow the signs for Interstate 90 and Route 2, and enter onto Route 2/Interstate 90 heading west. (State Route 2, US Interstate 90)
  • Follow I-90 to E. 55th St. Turn north and follow North Marginal Road into downtown Cleveland. (US Interstate 90, City of Cleveland Street)
  • Follow North Marginal Road to E. Ninth Street. (North Marginal Road changes to Erieside Avenue). Follow Erieside Avenue past North Coast Harbor, the Steamship WILLIAM G. MATHER and Port of Cleveland. At the entrance to the Port of Cleveland, the name changes from Erieside Avenue to W. Third St. (City of Cleveland Street)
  • Follow W. Third Street to Lakeside Avenue and re-enter Route 2 and the Main Avenue Bridge. (City of Cleveland Street, State Route 2)

Lorain County Segment

  • State Route 2 joins with US Route 20 and US Route 6. US Route 20 will veer south. Stay on US Route 6 and follow this route for another 40.4 miles till you reach the City of Huron.

Erie County Segment

  • Just after crossing the bridge as you approach Huron, turn right on Main Street. (City of Huron Street)
  • Main Street will zig zag for approximately .3 miles till you reach Cleveland Road W. Turn left on Cleveland Road West. (City of Huron Street)
  • After 2.25 miles, Cleveland Road West will also become US Route 6. Continue another 5.3 miles to the Cedar Point Causeway Drive. (US Route 6, City of Sandusky Street)
  • Take the Cedar Point Causeway Drive .6 miles and turn left on First Street. (City of Sandusky Street)
  • Follow First Street 1.28 miles to Meigs Street and turn right. (City of Sandusky Street)
  • Follow Meigs Street .54 miles to E. Water Street and turn left. (City of Sandusky Street)
  • Continue on E. Water Street for .25 miles till you reach Shoreline Drive. (City of Sandusky Street)
  • Continue on Shoreline Drive .64 miles to Lawrence Street and turn left. (City of Sandusky Street)
  • At the next street (in approximately 32 yards) turn right on W. Water Street. (City of Sandusky Street)
  • Follow W. Water Street 325 yards to Shelby Street and turn left. (City of Sandusky Street)
  • Follow W. Water Street 325 yards to Shelby Street and turn left. (City of Sandusky Street)
  • W. Washington Street turns into Tiffin Street. Follow 1.09 miles. Follow US Route 6 to the right as it becomes Venice Road.
  • Follow Venice Road (US Route 6) another 1.92 miles. US Route 6 will head to the left. Continue straight on Venice Road ( City of Sandusky Street) Venice will become Barrett Road as it enters Bay View ( Township/Village Road). After 3.1 miles, turn left on Martins Point Road (State Route 269). Continue another half-mile till you can head west on State Route 2.

Ottawa County Segment

  • Take State Route 2 another three miles across the bridge to Route 269 Exit (Marblehead).
  • Take State Route 269 Exit (Danbury Road) .5 miles to State Route 269. Turn right.
  • At next intersection (in 195 yards), turn left on E. Bayshore Road (County Route 135).
  • Follow this route around the tip of the peninsula. After about 7.5 miles, the route changes to State Route 163.
  • Keep following State Route 163 another 8.3 miles back off the peninsula. The route will change from Main Street to E. Harbor Street. At N.E. Catawba Road (State Route 53), turn right.
  • Follow State Route 53 around the tip of the Catawba Peninsula. At the tip, the road will change to N.W. Catawba Road (County Route 30), and then it will become Township Road 31 as you return to the mainland. The entire trip around the peninsula is 11 miles.
  • At Perry Street (State Route 163) turn right. Take Route 163 2.3 miles into Port Clinton and across the drawbridge. After the drawbridge, the route becomes W. Lakeshore Drive. Continue for 3.9 miles till you reach State Route 2. Turn right.
  • Follow State Route 2 for 23.6 miles to N. Curtice Road (County Route 202) and turn right.

Lucas County/Toledo Segment

  • Take N. Curtice Road 2.5 miles to Cedar Point Road (County Route 179) and turn left.
  • Follow Cedar Point Road 3 miles and turn right on N. Wynn Road. (City of Oregon Road, City of Toledo Street)
  • Take N. Wynn Road one mile to Bayshore Road and turn left. Bayshore Road becomes Otter Creek Road. Follow this road 2.73 miles to Millard Avenue and turn right. (City of Oregon Road, City of Toledo Street)
  • Take Millard Avenue .8 miles to Front Street. Turn left. (City of Toledo Street)
  • Continue on Front Street for approximately two miles until you reach the I-280 bridge. Enter onto bridge heading toward Toledo and Detroit. (City of Toledo Street, US Interstate 280)
  • At Greenbelt Parkway exit (approximately 1.3 miles) exit right on Greenbelt Parkway and follow approximately 245 yards to Galena Street. Turn right. (City of Toledo Street)
  • Follow Galena Street .5 miles to N. Summit Street and turn left. (City of Toledo Street)
  • Follow N. Summit to the Michigan State Line, which will occur in approximately 4.8 miles. (City of Toledo Street, County Highway)

Directions for Oak Openings Region Spur Route

  • From US I-280 Greenbelt Parkway Exit, heading south or west.
  • Exit at Greenbelt Parkway Exit (State Route 25). Follow 1.6 miles till it merges with Cherry Street (State Route 25/State Route 120). Turn left.
  • Follow Cherry Street .4 miles to intersection with North Summit Street (State Route 65). Turn right.
  • Follow North Summit Street (State Route 65) 1.15 miles till it intersects with Broadway Street (State Route 2).
  • Turn right on Broadway Street and follow three miles till it becomes River Road. Continue for 3.56 miles to Michigan Avenue and turn right. (City of Toledo Streets)
  • Follow Michigan Avenue .3 miles to US Route 24 (Anthony Wayne Trail). Follow 7.8 miles to State Route 64 (Farnsworth Road) and turn right.
  • Follow for 4.4 miles to Providence Street in Whitehouse. Farnsworth Road becomes Michigan Avenue and then Waterville-Swanton Road. (Village of Whitehouse Streets)
  • Turn right on Providence and follow .3 miles to Shepler Street. Turn left and follow 229 yards to Centerville Street (State Route 64).
  • Follow one mile to State Route 295 and turn right on Berkey Southern Road.
  • Follow 3.2 miles to US Route 20 and turn left.
  • Follow 1.32 miles to State Route 2/ US Route 295 (Airport Highway) and turn right.
  • Follow .8 miles to Berkey Southern Road (State Route 295) and turn left. Follow 6.3 miles to State Route 120 and turn right. This becomes Central Avenue.
  • Follow State Route 120 (and then Central Avenue) approximately 20 miles to Galena Road and turn right. After about 19 miles, State Route 120 follows Cherry Street. Stay on Central Avenue. (City of Toledo Street)
  • Follow Galena Road 380 yards to the Greenbelt Parkway. (City of Toledo Street)
