Winterthur Museum and Country Estate, DE
The world famous Winterthur Estate, showcasing the enormity of the du Pont wealth, sits on nearly 1,000 acres. Henry Francis du Pont transformed his childhood house into 7-story mansion with 175 rooms. Inside is one of the world's foremost collections of American art and furniture. Outside, the masterfully designed landscape contains a number of beautiful gardens.
