Wilderness Road Heritage Highway
View from Pinnacle Peak, KY

Pinnacle Peak rises 1,500 feet in elevation from the valley floor, allowing visitors to stand atop the 3,200-foot high peak. Now located within the Cumberland Gap National Historic Park, the peak was at one time a key Civil War defensive position. From the top, you can see Kentucky, Tennessee, and Virginia.
