Sherburne National Wildlife Refuge, MN
This refuge was established in the mid-1960s to protect and restore the habitats associated with the St. Francis River Valley for migratory birds and other wildlife purposes. The focus of the Refuge today is on the restoration of oak savanna , wetland and big woods habitats. Visitor activities include bird watching and photography, especially using the four observation decks, and access is available along the 7.3-mile loop road.
