Minnesota River Valley Scenic Byway
Ottawa Bluffs Preserve, MN

This land was purchased by the Nature Conservancy in 1975 to protect a remnant of the Minnesota River bluffs. About 30 acres of the preserve is dry mesic tallgrass prairie and 40 acres is mixed hardwood forest containing a naturally flowing spring. A calcareous (mineral ash) fen is located where the bluffs meet the river.
