Mattamuskeet National Wildlife Refuge, NC
The Mattamuskeet National Wildlife Refuge consists of more than 50,000 acres of water, marsh, timber and crop lands. The refuge's most significant feature is Lake Mattamuskeet, the largest natural lake in North Carolina. Popular recreational activities at the refuge include fishing, hunting, photography and observing wildlife.
