• Split Rock Lighthouse State Park (MN)

  Best known for its historic lighthouse, this state park offers great recreational and scenic opportunities.

• Stony Point (MN)

  Stony Point is named for a stone wall built by the Civilian Conservation Corps in the 1930's.

  Location on Byway: Highway 61

• Sugarloaf Point Scenic and Natural Area (MN)

  Sugarloaf point features some unique volcanic beaches.

  Location on Byway: Sugarloaf Point is located about 6.5 miles northeast of Little Marais on State Hwy 61.

• Superior Hiking Trail (MN)

  The Superior Hiking Trail is a stunning 220- mile hiking and snowshoeing trail.

• Superior National Forest (MN)

  Experience the North Shore by fishing, hiking, camping, and just plain relaxing in the Superior National Forest.

• Temperance River State Park (MN)

  Take the trail along the edge of this gorge created by the river and the numerous waterfalls.

  Directions: Entrance to the park is mile north of the town of Schroeder on State Highway 61.

• Tettegouche State Park (MN)

  Hikers love this beautiful state park which boasts outstanding scenic vistas accessible only on foot.

  Location on Byway: The park entrance is 4 1/2 miles northeast of Silver Bay on U.S. Highway 61.

• Two Harbors (MN)

  Two Harbors offers much in the way of North Shore atmosphere.

  Location on Byway: At the beginning of the byway on Minnesota State Road 61.
