  • George Crosby Manitou State Park (MN)

    For those who like a little adventure, George Crosby Manitou State Park is a nice place to explore the woods and discover the beauty of Minnesota.

    Location on Byway: The southern portion of the park is located right on the byway, just north of Little Marais. The main entrance can be accessed from Highway 7.

  • Glensheen (MN)

    This house, located on tree-lined London Road, resembles an early seventeenth century country estate in England.

    Location on Byway: Minnesota Highway 61/London Road

  • Gooseberry Falls State Park (MN)

    Known for its spectacular waterfalls, river gorge, and Lake Superior shoreline, Gooseberry Falls State Park is a fantastic stop along the North Shore Drive.

    Location on Byway: Goosberry Falls State Park is located about 13 miles north of Two Harbors.

  • Grand Marais (MN)

    Grand Marais sits between a beautiful harbor on Lake Superior and the Sawtooth Mountain Range and is rich in culture and abundant outdoor recreational opportunities.

    Location on Byway: Grand Marais is about 10 miles northeast of Cascade River State Park.

  • Grand Portage National Monument (MN)

    Located within Grand Portage Indian Reservation, the Grand Portage National Monument celebrates the heritage of the Ojibwe Indians that lived here in the 18th to 20th centuries.

    Directions: Grand Portage National Monument is located approximately one mile south of Highway 61 in the community of Grand Portage, just 7 miles from the Canadian border.

    This State Park includes a hike to the highest falls in Minnesota.

    Location on Byway: The Grand Portage Bay Travel Information Center is located on Highway 61.

  • Iona's Beach Scenic and Natural Area (MN)

    This unique beach is named after the owner of a resort that used to occupy the area.

    Location on Byway: Iona`s Beach is located 2 miles north of Goosberry Falls State Park on Highway 61.

  • Judge C.R. Magney State Park (MN)

    Home to the famous Kettle Falls, Judge C.R. Magney State Park is a favorite stop for fisherman and sight seeing.

    Location on Byway: The park is located 14 miles northeast of Grand Marais on State Highway 61.

    This picturesque park is known for its rocky beach with waves crashing against the shore.
