Catalina Highway, loved by cyclists. In one day I saw more than the other three in AZ and NM.
Ideal area to train professionally in 'winter'. It was great to climb part of it, 'til halfway, elevation 6000 feet. Landscape is varied, the scattered Tucson houses and nice valleys and always whispering water along the road.
Pretty steep at the beginning, 'til 4500 feet after that it's well doable for a retiree, provided he/she is in good condition and ... wearing the right flashing outfit.
