This scenic drive is worth the small toll needed to drive on it. Words can not describe the views you can see on this road. The roads are a little difficult to drive at some points but nothing to be nervous about. There are hundreds of places to stop and take pictures or just enjoy the amazing mountain views. This drive is well worth the gas prices.

Michigander on September 5, 2008 (traveled on May 26, 2007)We drove the entire Blue Ridge Parkway plus Skyline Drive in our ragtop just before Memorial Day weekend. What an experience. The rhododendrons, mountain laurel, and azaleas were all in bloom. Incredible.
