A Traveler's Experience
msbiker on February 25, 2008 (traveled on June 18, 2007)Skyline Drive (VA)
Our motorcycle vacation started with the eight of us entering the Skyline Drive at Front Royal, Virginia. We immediately started our ascent and within a few short miles, got our first vista of the Shenandoah Valley. This ride is incredible in its beauty. We also had breakfast at the Skyline Lodge where they fed us so much and so well, we had trouble getting back on the bikes!
If traveling in the eastern U.S. with plans to ride the Blue Ridge Parkway, do yourself a favor by including this companion byway (they meet in Waynesboro, Virginia).
