A Traveler's Experience

I rode the Logan River Trail when the leaves were just perfect.
This is an east-west running trail that mostly parallels the Logan River. It connects several campgrounds, the Stokes Nature Center and Spring Hollow. This trail alternates between good sections of hard packed fireroads and semi-technical singletrack. There's a bit of an elevation gain and 2 or 3 switchbacks on the route.
Traveling between the canyon walls offers scenic views of rock and pleasant forested trees. This is one of those trails that offers a variety and encourages a sense of exploration while traveling. At one point you're looking at a pond with people fishing, the next a waterfall, after that some good locations for bouldering on canyon wall.
It's definitely a location suitable for kids and grandkids. Most of the elevation climb is spread out over a reasonable distance and it doesn't take too much to get to where you're going.
