A Traveler's Experience

My first experience in New Mexico proved to be a cultural treat. I wasn't sure what to expect, but soon found myself captivated by the open, red beauty of the landscape. I loved how the houses made from adobe blended seamlessly into the landscape. As an avid shopper, however, my favorite part of the trip was stopping in the little town of Madrid (pronounced "MAH-drid", by the way!) There, two blocks packed with interesting and unique shops offered an unbeatable shopping experience. The only difficulty was deciding what treasures to buy! Beyond all the interesting items for sale, though, I loved the atmosphere of the town. I only wish I had more time!
