June 29, 2009 - Get Your Licks on Historic Route 66

Catch the end of the “Get Your Licks on Route 66” tour, ending on July 1 along Historic Route 66.

Historic Route 66 has gone to the dogs… and cats, thanks to a national adoption tour now underway that is co-sponsored by the North Shore Animal League America and Fido Friendly magazine. The tour kicked off on June 6 in Los Angeles, California and will end on July 1 at Great Heights, Illinois. At each stop, the organizers have partnered with local animal shelters to showcase some of their pets up for adoption inside the climate-controlled special van. Each stop also offers plenty of drawings and giveaways to pet-loving attendees.
