June 6, 2008 - Learn History on the Coal Heritage Trail

Leave the Interstate (77) behind to sample the history along the Coal Heritage Trail in southern West Virginia. The trail leads to several historical homes and buildings in Bluefield, WV. They’re all marked giving visitors the option of a self-guided walking tour. The city also restored Chicory Square, it was built to mimic a roundhouse, a place where trains were serviced.
