December 31, 2008 - New Year's Eve Sausage Drop in Elmore on Lake Erie Coastal Trail

On Dec. 31, a giant sausage will ring in the New Year in Elmore, OH on the Lake Erie Coastal Ohio Trail. Inspired by the town’s longest running business, Tank’s Meats, citizens of Elmore will greet the New Year by dropping a brightly lit, 18-foot sausage from the sky.

The celebration will also include events, such as, a raw sausage toss, a sausage-eating contest, a nip ‘n dip contest, and a “dress your dog” contest for children.

The event will run from 6 p.m. to 12 a.m. on New Year’s Eve at Depot Park, 353 Ottawa Street in Elmore, OH. For more information, call 419-260-1282.
