December 4, 2006 - Road Closures along Mt. Greylock Scenic Byway

The Mount Greylock Scenic Byway will be closed for road improvements until Spring 2009. The road construction will affect the following areas of the park:

  • The road to the summit will be closed
  • Bascom Lodge will be closed
  • Veterans War Memorial Tower will be closed
  • The Sperry Road Campground will be closed to car access, but still accessible by trail

The Visitors Center on Rockwell Road will remain open through the construction, and access to the Appalachian, Phelps, and Taconic Crest Trails will still be available.
