Seaway Trail
(New York and Pennsylvania)
The Seaway Trail parallels the St. Lawrence Seaway and Great Lakes in New York and Pennsylvania. Travelers can enjoy historic lighthouses, numerous sport-fishing sites, massive Niagara Falls, the serene 1000 Islands area, three National Wildlife Refuges and more. Visit the Erie National Wildlife Refuge in Pennsylvania and identify native birds by sight and song. In New York, the Iroquois and Montezuma National Wildlife Refuges offer exciting nature adventures. Admire local bird life, fish the clear lakes, ride bicycle trails, and in winter cross-country ski at the Iroquois National Wildlife Refuge. Observe birds, wildlife and scenery from the observation tower at the Montezuma National Wildlife Refuge or hike many of the informative and scenic trails throughout the 7,000-acre refuge.
