The 261-mile Upper Mississippi National Wildlife Refuge extends through Minnesota, Wisconsin, and Illinois, and half of the world's population of canvas-backed ducks make their migratory trek through the refuge. Venture to the Port Louisa refuge in Iowa for a rewarding view of some of the largest wintering concentrations of bald eagles in America. Enjoy the winged ballet of the American white pelicans as they glide through the Two Rivers Refuge in Illinois. The observation towers at the Wapanocca refuge in Arkansas provide an unmatched vantage point for bird and wildlife watching. Experience the impressive array of wild life the St. Catherine refuge in Mississippi has to offer, such as bobcats, alligators, river otters, and herons.
