Pioneer Historic Byway (Idaho)

Travel the Pioneer Historic Byway to discover a blend of beautiful scenery, culture, and a rich history. As you journey the byway you will have a chance to immerse yourself in early American life via time-honored buildings and historic sites. Drop in at the Oxford Slough Waterfowl Production Area or Gray's Lake and Bear Lake National Wildlife Refuges to see plentiful wildlife. These refuges and waterfowl areas consist primarily of hardstem bulrush marsh. See the nesting areas for Canada Geese, Redhead Ducks, Sandhill Cranes, and other mammals, birds, fish, and amphibians which make their homes in the marsh.
