Morristown is the region’s retail center and has a late-1800s period downtown with a number of properties on the National Register. There is a Stained Glass Tour of Victorian homes. Morristown lies on the Dixie Highway and original Warrior’s Path. Morristown is the center of the Bridge to Bridge Civil War Driving Tour which features the many sites in the valley where over 50,000 troops from both sides of the war moved through and fought in the area.
