US 224 passes by the Blanchard River and Lake Erie, so it is a perfect place to enjoy the natural world at its best. This road is also the site of the Old Mill Stream, which inspired a famous song written in 1910 by Tell Taylor, "Down by the Old Mill Stream." Go down by the river to share a picnic lunch under the trees where children can play in the shallow, cool waters.
