Open all daylight hours, the Wild Bird Center provides emergency care for birds and hosts a collection of healthy wild birds as well. A short nature trail and boardwalk runs into the mangrove forest, offering a breathtaking Florida Bay view and winding through enclosures housing recuperating wild hawks, Ospreys, Roseate Spoonbills and Egrets. The center is popular among photographers at mid-afternoon when hundreds of waterbirds fly in and feed within arm’s distance.
