Sierra Vista Scenic Byway
The Balls/Portuguese Overlook, CA

Under the great glacier-carved granitic domes known as The Balls, Portuguese Overlook provides an expansive vista of Shuteye Ridge and Chiquito Basin all the way to the San Joaquin River. A paved turnout with parking for cars and a bus provides safe access to this viewpoint, and interpretive signs identify major geographic features.
