Driving the Byway
All points of entry for the Sierra Vista Scenic Byway can be reached from Southern Yosemite Highway 41 traveling northbound from Fresno or Madera in central California.
The designated start point of the Byway is just two miles north of the town of North Fork on Forest Road 81. North Fork is reached from Highway 41 by turning east along County Road 200 through the town of O'Neals.
The Beasore Road portal can be reached off Highway 41 by following County Road 222 north of Oakhurst to County Road 274 (bear left at the junctions) and then on to Beasore Road, which is on the left directly across from the large Pines Village entry sign.
The Highway 41 portal designated as the ending point of the byway is approximately 1.5 miles north of the County Road 222 turn off. It is signed as County Road 234 and identified as Sky Ranch Road by locals. While beginning and ending points are designated, visitors are free to enjoy the byway in any direction or sequence that fits their itinerary while in the region.
