Spanning seven counties along the eastern edge of the Prairie Pothole Region, the Litchfield Wetland Management District covers 151 Waterfowl Production Areas totaling over 34,000 acres in the south-central part of Minnesota. During the spring and fall migrations, as well as through much of the summer, you will find good opportunities for wildlife observation and photography, especially for waterfowl, marsh birds, and grassland birds.
