Baltimore's Historic Charles Street
Homewood Museum at Johns Hopkins University, MD

On a gentle hill facing Charles Street is one of the finest examples of Federal architecture in America--the Homewood Museum. Now part of the Johns Hopkins University, the museum offers you the chance to explore diverse interests including an intimate look at life in early-19th century Baltimore. The museum itself was built 1801-03 and served as a home to Charles Carroll Jr, son of the only Catholic signer of the Declaration of Independence.
