Chesapeake Country Scenic Byway
Rock Hall, MD

This bay front community was shaped by colonial maritime trade, the steamboat, and men and women who earned their living on the water. A station on the main post road linking the northern and southern colonies, Rock Hall was a ferry landing where early travelers crossed the Bay. It is now a working town and resort community. With 15 marinas, Rock Hall can easily claim to be the pleasure-boating center of the Upper Eastern Shore where you can find safe mooring or charter a cruise or a sport fishing boat. Once ashore, you'll find plenty of places to enjoy Chesapeake Bay seafood.
