Eastern Neck National Wildlife Refuge, MD
Eastern Neck National Wildlife Refuge is an Island surrounded by the waters of the Chesapeake Bay and the Chester River. Established in 1962, this 2,285-acre refuge is a major feeding and resting place for migratory and wintering waterfowl. Extensive hiking trails will lead you through marshes, fields and woodlands. The refuge teems with wildlife, including bald eagles, more than 240 species of birds and waterfowl, and the endangered Delmarva Fox Squirrel.
