Bellingham is home to numerous art galleries and museums. A particularly fun museum to visit is the American Museum of Radio. Here you can see a restored wireless, and wax drum recorder among other things. Bellingham itself is right on the bay with an active waterfront port and a mixture of restaurants and shops. Squalicum Harbor is the second largest in Puget Sound with 1,900 pleasure and commercial boats moored. Take some time to take an excursion on one of the passenger ferries for a whale watch cruise, a tour to Victoria on Vancouver Island, and a cruise to the San Juan Islands.
