Deming Logging Show, WA

The Deming Logging Show takes place every year during the beginning of June. Loggers come to the small town of Deming and for two days, visitors can watch loggers compete with saws of all sizes and vintage. The competitions highlight traditional logging skills as well as more current logging methods. The competitions also cover all of the skills necessary to log effectively, not just sawing. These competitions include shimmying up cedar poles, rolling logs in murky ponds, and backing trucks around tight curves. After watching a competition, take a stroll through some of the displays. Displays include current and antique logging equipment, such as a shiny antique logging truck and antique drag saws.
