Boulder Cave Nature Trail, WA

This is a kids' special. Bring a lunch, a flashlight and the patience to answer a lot of questions as you lead the youngsters into Boulder Cave, a natural stone tunnel nearly 200 feet long.

Home to the Pacific Western big-eared bat and other bat species, about 50 bats hibernate in the cave during the winter. A tour guide can explain the significance of the bat population, show you the different bat species, and lead you through the cave. The tour is a fascinating experience for the entire family.
