Driving the Byway

From Port Ontario, travel east on Route 13 through the city of Pulaski. Continue along Route 13 until you enter the city of Camden. From Camden, turn left onto Route 69. Follow Route 69, which will change to Route 46, and continue into the city of Rome.

In Rome, Route 46 changes to Route 49 as it veers south. Head east on Route 365, turn right on Route 233, then turn left on Route 69. Follow Route 69 south through Oriskany and on towards Utica. Route 69 will merge with Route 5A, continue straight along Routes 5A and 5S through Utica.

Take Route 5S out of Utica and continue along the banks of the Mohawk River until you reach Ilion. In Ilion, turn left on Otsego Street and cross the Mohawk River. Turn right onto Route 5 and continue eastward through Herkimer. Continue along Route 5 until you reach the village of Scotia, and the end of the Revolutionary Trail Scenic Byway.
