Driving the Byway
The Grant Wood Scenic Byway runs through two eastern Iowa counties to the Mississippi River. The byway splits to include both a northerly and southerly route but connects at Andrew on one side and Maquoketa on the other.
Driving the Byway
- Beginning in Anamosa, travel State Road 64 past the communities of Wyoming, Monmouth, and Baldwin.
- From Baldwin, continue on SR 64 until the route splits into a northerly and southerly section.
- Northerly Section
- From the intersection of SR 64 and SR 428, turn left onto 428.
- Continue on SR 428 until County Road E17 appears.
- Stay on E17 and pass the community of Andrew where the route rejoins.
- Southerly Section
- From the intersection of SR 64 and SR 62, turn right onto SR 62.
- Continue on SR 62 until the community of Andrew where the route rejoins.
- Finishing the Byway
- Following E17, drivers will reach Springbrook.
- From Springbrook, turn onto County Road Z15 and continue to Bellevue where the byway ends.
