The Grande Ronde Valley, OR

Deep soil and a relatively mild climate give the valley highly productive farm ground. The variety of crops grown include mint, alfalfa, wheat, sugar beets, and fruit. The region's only winery and vineyard are located on the eastern edge of the valley at Cove.
