Numerous hiking and mountain biking trails exist in and around the Garnet Ghost Town. During the winter months some trails are designated for cross-country skiing only.

Special Considerations

There are no services available on the byway route, so please plan accordingly. Please leave all artifacts at Garnet intact, leash your pets, and carry any litter out with you.

The route is a BLM service road, unpaved and rough in some areas. Vehicle access is normally good from mid-May through November

Restrictions

The Garnet Range Road is closed from January 1 through March 31.
