Driving the Byway

• From the north, the byway begins on K-177 at the south city limits of Council Grove and proceeds south approximately 18 miles to Strong City.
• Stay on K-177 through the well-marked turn in Strong City, and continue south across the Cottonwood River, through Cottonwood Falls and Matfield Green.
• The route from Strong City to the southern terminus in Cassoday is approximately 30 miles for a total byway length of 48 miles. The road is gently winding but it is easy to follow and hard to get off track.
