Hawley Lake has a grocery store, camping, and boat rentals available. Regular services can be found in the towns near the scenic road. Sleeping accommodations can be found at the Apache Sunrise Ski Resort.

Special Considerations
Gas should be purchased before traveling the scenic road. The highest elevation on the route is 9,100 feet.
Restrictions
During winter the road past the ski resort is not driveable by two-wheel drive vehicles.

The best time to drive the byway is in the Fall, when the weather cools down from the heat of summer. Trees all over the byway are decorated in vibrant colors of gold and red.
