Special Considerations
Southcentral Nevada is sparsely populated. Traveler services are adequate but far apart. If you have trouble, stay with your vehicle. Roads are patrolled, and locals will almost always assist a stranded motorist. Also be aware that most of the Extraterrestrial Highway is an open range, so keep a look out for cows.
Restrictions
Much of the area on the southwest side of US 375 belongs to the Air Force. Never go off the road toward this area at night. During the daylight hours, obey all posted signs. If you go into any restricted area, you will be assessed a hefty fee.
