Moab is the center of a major outdoor recreation area. Set amid beautiful red rock of south-eastern Utah, world class mountain-biking trails, whitewater rafting rivers, 4-wheel drive trails, and spectacular scenery in Arches National Park and Canyonlands National Park provide visitors the opportunity to experience diverse outdoor adventures. In addition to these attractions, prehistoric Indian rock art panels, dinosaur megatrack sites, and several dinosaur bone sites are being actively investigated by paleontologists.
