Slickrock Bike Trail, UT
Visitor Services
The Sand Flats Recreation Area is managed by the BLM. There are several areas for rough camping, group or individual. No water, little shade, sparse vegetation, and no facilities do not reduce the popularity of this area in the summer, so come early!

Special Considerations
The trailhead has a large paved parking area, but it fills up rapidly in the high season. This is the most popular mountain biking trail in the Moab area, and bikers should be prepared for crowds.
Also, thunderstorms can arise suddenly, especially in spring and fall. The sudden downpours, combined with gusting winds and lightning, can create hazardous conditions. Be prepared to cope with the lack of shelter on the trail in these conditions.
Restrictions
Check with the local BLM office for fees and limits on the length of stay.
