Accessibility
The Silver Lake Visitor Center has a 0.7-mile, fully accessible boardwalk available for use during the non-winter months. Most of the Forest Service picnic areas along the byway are accessible.

Special Considerations
On days with extreme winter weather, UDOT and the Utah Highway Patrol will enforce vehicle restrictions limiting vehicles to those with tire chains or four-wheel-drive.
Steep grades are challenging to RV’s and larger vehicles.
