Driving the Byway

Sandhills Journey is a long stretch of Nebraska Highway 2 that runs through the great Sandhills region from Grand Island to Alliance.

From the east, exit I-80 at Exit 312 North to Grand Island. From Grand Island, continue northwest on Nebraska Highway 2 for 272 miles to Alliance.
