Amish Country Byway

The Great Ohio Bicycle Adventure has included Amish Country Byway on its route numerous times. Many bicycling groups meander along the byway. The byway shares its roads with bicycles, pedestrians and Amish horses and buggies. In most areas, which are frequented by bicycles and buggies, the shoulders of the roads or berms have been widened. The berms were widened enough to allow the slower travelers, including buggies, to move to the side of the road and let faster vehicles pass by. The distribution of marking reflectors for bicycles and buggies has improved the safety along the byway.
