Special Considerations
Since the byway passes through downtown Detroit, travelers should avoid rush hour.
When crossing the border into Canada, remember that passports are required.
Seasons
- Best Time to Drive
Byway attractions have extended hours of operation from May - August.
- High Season
The busiest months are August because of the Dream Cruise event and November because of America's Thanksgiving Day Parade. Woodward Ave. also experiences “rush hour” traffic as is expected on any urban roadway.
