Special Considerations
Snowfall might be great in the winter. However, due to the homes and businesses along the route, the plowing of this route is a priority.
Seasons
- Best Time to Drive
Although all seasons provide opportunities for recreation, summer and the colorful fall seasons are the best times to experience the byway.
- High Season
Large events which draw thousands of visitors along the byway include WeFest (1st week in Aug.), MoonDance (July), 10,000 Lakes Festival (4th wk of July). Otherwise, traffic along the byway is not heavy.
