Driving the Byway

The byway travels through an area of North Carolina known as the Green Swamp. The byway runs along NC 211 from Supply to Bladenboro.

Driving the Byway: Begin the byway 1/2 mile north of Supply in Brunswick County on NC 211.

• Cross the Royal Oak Swamp two miles north of Supply and continue north at the intersection of NC 211 and Little Macedonia Road.
• Travelers will then drive through Green Swamp for 12.7 miles to the county line.
• After another 10 miles through the swamp, travelers will reach the community of Bolton.
• As travelers continue north on NC 211, they will pass through Friar Swamp.
• Continue through pine forests until you reach Bladenboro and the intersection with NC 242 and the end of the byway.
