	Fees There is no fee to drive the byway, campgrounds and attractions may charge.		Camping Camping spots are provided in the Pisgah National Forest. See Mount Pisgah Campground
	Food Brevard offers dining opportunities.		Gasoline Gas stations are avaliable in Brevard.
	Information Information about the forest is available at the ranger stations and the Cradle of Forestry.		Lodging Places to stay are available in Brevard and surrounding communities.
	Retail Shopping is available in Brevard.

Special Considerations

Shinning Rock Wilderness Area is accessible only by foot trails.

Restrictions

The route is difficult for RVs and buses.

The cooler weather of the spring is the best time to visit this byway, when the flowers are just starting to blossom.

Fall

The fall season treats you to trees changing into the golden and red colors of autumn.

Summer

Visit the byway during the summer to experience the warmer water of the mountain streams.
